How To See Your Doctor

If you require an appointment please telephone (01580) 753 935 from 8.30am or Book-On-Line. Please do not email your Doctor directly with any clinical requests, as these emails might not be immediately attended to.

Morning Surgery

On Tuesdays – morning appointments start at 7.30am and in the evening run until 7.30 pm.

On other Weekdays pre-booked appointments are between 8.35 am and 10.00 am, these are followed by book on the day appointments until 12 Noon. However if it is imperative that you prebook a later appointment please explain to the receptionist and we will try to oblige.

Evening surgeries start at 4.10pm and run to 6pm except on Tuesdays when Dr Strange consults until 7.30pm

Laboratory Tests

If you think you might require a blood or urine test, please come to morning surgery Monday to Friday, as samples are collected at 11.00 am each weekday.

Results

We process tens of thousands of results per year- all are important.

You will receive smear results by post. But for all other laboratory results please ask of our receptionists as we are not able to routinely contact patients. Please DO NOT assume no contact from us means the result is normal. Please call for your blood results between 11am and 1pm.

Out Of Hours / Urgent Medical Conditions

For urgent serious medical conditions such as Chest Pain and Major Accidents you should call 999.

When the surgery is closed please contact NHS 111 for urgent medical attention.

If you require general medical advice you may wish to try NHS Direct Symptom Checker on www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

Telephone Appointments

If you wish to discuss something with your Doctor please phone and ask the receptionists to arrange a telephone appointment and your doctor will phone you back. If it is an urgent matter and or worsening please phone back.
